Kabutops, also known as a Shellfish Pokémon, has a body similar to a skeleton framework. Kabutops generally dwells in oceans where they can swim at a maximum speed of 29 knots. Big and sharp scythes let them rip their enemies or prey, enabling them to feed on their prey’s fluids. Introduced in Generation I, this Rock/Water Pokémon made its debut in Attack of the Prehistoric Pokémon. Kabutops attempted adapting to land-dwelling species. They are hostile and prefer residing in seclusion. Swift Swim or Battle Armor and Weak Armor are its abilities. Kabutops is always on the attacking front. Their move sets comprise of moves like a blizzard, hyper beam, ice beam, façade, giga impact, night slash, and so on. Kabutops best sets include ancient power, rock tomb, smack down, scald, stone edge, and others.

Kabutops is the final evolution form that evolves from Kabuto at level 40. Kabuto was thought to be an extinct species and it is believed that it evolved from Dome Fossils.
